Commander's Corner

Welcome to the 781 Sons of the American Legion. web site!

Dear Friends,

Hello to everyone in the S.A.L. family! After 7 months of health issues things are finally getting back to normal. I would really like to thank my fellow officers for stepping up to the plate while i was recovering with complications from hip surgery. Their devotion carried our squad seamlessly through events without my having to be here at all times. Again thank you to my squad.

Once again 781 S.A.L. has had a very good year. Thru several fund raisers, we were able to donate over $2600 to local charities. We ran 2 successful blood drives, an outdoor party for the area V.A. hospital veterans. We also donated to several local bike ride benefits. We ended the year by being able to help a local family who recently lost everything and have 2 children with presents and a cash donation to help with Christmas. See the "Photos" page..

Our membership is doing extremely well and our active participants are increasing in numbers. If things continue thru the new year, I expect to do more and better things in 2012.

From myself and my Squadron, Happy New Year and good health to everyone. And as always feel free to contact us anytime.
